Hello

So I decided to bite the bullet and start a blog.  I'll start with a little about myself.

The Craft of Craft Nerd - I've been crafting for almost thirty years.  I got my start with a counted cross stich kit my grandmother put in my Christmas stocking when I was in the fifth grade.  By the seventh grade I was handmaking Christmas presents for my family, which I still do to this day.  My main passion these days is card making.  But I've got a scrapbook project in the works and I also love to make jewelry and wreaths.

The Nerd of Craft Nerd - I was the shy, mousy, bookish, teacher's pet type in school.  By college I was a little less shy but no less nerdy.  I graduated in 3 and a half years with a double major and a minor.  I went on to law school and finished at the top of my class.  After a year of practice, I quit and went back to school to get a Master's in History.  So basically, I'm highly over educated.  After getting my Master's, I went back to using my law degree.  I currently work full time for the State of Florida as a trial court staff attorney, which means I do research and writing for the trial court judges.

The Man behind the Nerd - I'm married to a very tolerant man.  He has put up with my crafting addiction and the various messes and clutter that go along with it for sixteen years.  He also tolerates my pet addiction.  We have two very annoying beagles (Dashiell and Myrna) and two cats (Nora and Inque).

The Blog - I plan on posting a new project at least once a week.  I'm also currently in the process of a major reorganization of my craft space.  My wonderful hubby bought me a new craft desk for Valentine's day.  So I will probably share my reorg journey.  While most of the projects I will post will be cards and stamping based, I will probably add some other things as well.

So thanks for stopping by and please come back.  I will post a project soon.

  1. Congratulations! You will love blogging. It is so fun!
You may want to take off Verification. Many challenges ask you to shut it off. It also limits the number of comments you will receive.

  3. Hi Sarah, So lovely to meet you, and thanks for your visit to my blog. I'm a So. Floridian, retired to Upstate SC. Our only dtr still lives on the west coast, so we visit several times during the year. Can't wait to see what you will share on this post, and will follow you via bloglovin. Currently, I'm having a blogger follow issue, so hopefully I can do it with bloglovin. Hope you'll visit again when you have time. Always enjoy meeting & getting to know new folks who share this paper hobby. (I used to quilt & machine embroider, but that's gone by the wayside, once I discovered rubber stamping). Hugs (PS..I agree with Scrappymoi on the Word Verification. Leave Moderate comments on, and you can weed out anything you don't want published. Lots of folks won't bother to comment once they see the WV pop up.)
