Happy New Year!!! I'm not entirely sure where the second
half of 2015 went but I neglected my poor blog and my bloggy friends
horribly. My mojo decided to go on vacation for most of the summer
and when if finally came back, I fell into a crafting black hole
trying to get everything done for the fall holidays (fall cards,
Halloween cards and Thanksgiving cards) and Christmas (50+ cards, 24 cards for gift sets, a calendar and 30 mixed media canvases). I promise to
post the mixed media canvases I made as Christmas presents over the
next few weeks. But for today's post, I'm posting the first card I
made in 2016. Sadly it is a sympathy card. My great uncle passed
away shortly before the new year and I sent a card to his daughter.
I was close to her kids when I was a kid and had many a sleep-over at
her house. I kept the card fairly simple.
The image is by Power
Poppy and the sentiment is by Rubber Soul. I stamped it with Hero
Arts shadow ink in soft granite. I colored the flowers with my new
set of koi watercolors. I really like them.
Thanks for stopping by and please come
again.
You sound like you kept very busy Sarah! Lots of things you made, I'm in awe. I'm sorry for your loss, it is never easy to lose someone. I do think your sympathy card is beautiful. I pray you don't need to make any more sympathy cards for this year. Hugs, Brenda
